Introduction
This Policy describes how KDX LTD (Kodex) uses cookies and similar technologies on kodex.ie, for what purposes, and how you can manage them. It complements the Privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site may store in your browser. They can remember preferences, keep sessions, measure audience or, where applicable, personalize content. Similar technologies include browser local storage (localStorage / sessionStorage) when used for equivalent purposes; we treat them with the same informational rigor in this policy.
Cookie types
- Necessary (technical): enable browsing and basic functions (security, delivery, recording your cookie choice, form protection). They do not require consent when strictly necessary.
- Preferences: remember user choices (for example, light/dark theme).
- Analytics: help understand how the site is used (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, PostHog when active). They only activate if you accept them in the banner or Settings.
- Marketing / advertising: not active by default on this site. If added later, this policy and the consent mechanism will be updated.

Theme preference and consent records are stored mainly in browser localStorage. You can clear them by deleting site data in browser settings.
Consent
On first visit (or if you have not chosen yet), we show a banner with three equal visual actions:
- Accept — allows analytics cookies (and keeps preferences).
- Reject — denies analytics; necessary cookies remain active.
- Settings — choose by category (Necessary, Preferences, Analytics) and save.
We use Google Consent Mode v2: until you accept analytics, analytics storage stays denied. You can change your choice at any time.
Management and disabling
You can control cookies and storage in these ways:
- Use the Manage cookies button on this page or the equivalent link in the site footer.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser privacy settings.
- Use private / incognito mode (session cookies are usually cleared on close).
Disabling technical cookies may affect site functionality. Disabling analytics generally does not prevent browsing public content.
